We are an owner-managed boutique consultancy based in Munich. Our focus is on the development and implementation of market-oriented corporate strategies. We assist entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses in becoming better, faster, and more profitable. For financial investors, we provide support in identifying and realizing attractive investment opportunities. We are one of the leading CDD (Commercial Due Diligence) consultants, specializing in the examination and evaluation of ‘asset-light’ business models. Our industry focus includes Business Services, IT & Software, Healthcare, and the Construction Industry (especially construction services).
Our team consists of competent and experienced consultants. We are renowned for our authentic approach and commitment to providing ‘Honest Advice.’ As an owner-managed consultancy, we think and act entrepreneurially in the best interest of our clients. We work extensively based on hypotheses and always put ourselves in our client’s shoes. We offer individualized solutions developed in close collaboration with our clients, fostering a partnership-oriented approach.
We have an extensive network and excellent relationships with auditing firms, management consultancies, M&A advisors, as well as digital and advertising agencies. Notable examples include Plural Strategy, headquartered in London and New York (international transaction advisory), Turnaround Management Partners based in Düsseldorf (restructuring), and LOYALIZED Consulting located in Hamburg (Digital Commerce).
The consultancy was founded in 2011 as a sole proprietorship under the name Commercial Advisory. In 2015, Commercial Advisory Unternehmensberatung GmbH was officially registered in the commercial register. Since late 2021, we operate under the name CA Strategy Consultants GmbH.
The consultancy is owner-managed, with Markus Knarr serving as the Managing Partner.
Markus Knarr
For more than 18 years Markus Knarr worked as a strategy consultant for corporate and private equity clients. Before founding CA Strategy Consultants he worked for e.g. PricewaterhouseCoopers (Frankfurt, Munich and London), goetzpartners (Munich) and AMR International (Frankfurt and London).
During his career he has led international projects in the USA, UK and Eastern Europe. He also worked for the following corporations: adidas (Herzogenaurach), Allianz Versicherung (Munich) and Nordex (Hamburg).
He studied Business Administration at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and at the School of Management at the University of Bath in England.
